Stroke Recovery

Watch the video below to see our approach to Stroke Recovery.

1 - What Is A Stroke?

An ischemic stroke occurs when the blood supply to part of the brain is blocked or reduced. This prevents brain tissue from getting oxygen and nutrients. Brain cells begin to die in minutes. Another type of stroke is a hemorrhagic stroke. It occurs when a blood vessel in the brain leaks or bursts and causes bleeding in the brain. The blood increases pressure on brain cells and damages them. A stroke is a medical emergency. It's crucial to get medical treatment right away.

2 - The Problem

The big problem is that once an individual has survived the initial acute treatment, there is little done to address the cause of the stroke. Medication such as blood thinners are administered and typically the patient takes these medications for life. Not taking into account the cause of the initial stroke and now adding the residual damage of the medications taken each day. Over time the patients health and lifestyle slowly decline and this leaves them feeling frustrated and stuck.

3 - Fix

Our approach begins with a comprehensive history and screening to identify what is caused the initial stroke. Typically its a combination of genetic influences, lifestyle choices and stress. Once we can identify these patterns, we can develop a specific treatment strategy that allows us to target the things that are causing the problem, therefore taking the pressure off of the circulatory system. It is a system that we call Functional Blueprint, which we have another video that goes further into detail. Due to advances in technology in healthcare, what is called biotechnology, it allows us to specifically target the high leverage points and address it at its core source.
