The big problem is, Rheumatoid patients never get a detailed enough history or testing done to really explain why they developed the condition. Instead, they are just given immune system suppressing medications to try and weaken the immune system instead of ever digging for the cause as to why that marker tested positive in the first place. As most patients find out, while immune suppression has its place short term, it is not meant to be a long term therapy option for people. This is what leaves the patient feeling stuck, is that the problem keeps progressing and nothing changes with the treatment options offered to them. They continue to have symptoms, they continue to struggle, but the cause is never addressed.
